The Loyal Edmonton Regiment Museum, The Lord Strathcona’s Horse (RC) Regimental Society and Valour Park Association are hosting a Charity Machine Gun Shoot this September 26th at CFB Wainwright Alberta. There will be a limited number of tickets available for this shoot so don’t wait to book your spot.

Things are changing in Alberta with respect to how CFSC instructors are going to be administered. The current provider, the Alberta Hunter Education Instructor Association will cease providing books, tests, and loaning out gun kits as of 1 September. No indication if it will be run by the CFO, like it is in other provinces, or another private contractor. With the unknown future in doubt I plan to order enough course materials to carry me through for several months past 1 September. I am working on Septembers schedule now and it will be published soon.

There are still some vacancies on the Non Restricted course this weekend, 15 Aug.

Non restricted course this Sunday. I have only 1 student. Is anyone interested in making it 2? Cost $150. We are in St Albert.

If you could fire a historic firearm, including a full auto, what would you prefer? I volunteer at a military museum and I get to handle many different types of fi****ms. I have not yet fired them. My favourite would be the Thompson, followed by the M2 Carbine. What is yours?
