Todays photographic FOR SALE offering:
Nice large portrait photo of an RCAF chap who is rocking a superb ‘stache. He appears to be wearing the cash tape type eagles, and with the white bit on his cap i think he is in training? Nothing on the back to tell us who he is sadly, but he looks like a Steve or a David to me.

For Sale:
This chap has been kicking about here for a while, would be nice to find him a good new home!
The image appears to have been removed from a photo album, with neat glue line to the top of the back of the photo. Being passed along as found, sadly with no note… perhaps the photo was sent back to Sgt Giles? Might not even be him, could be someone he knows.
From the little bit of googling i have done, Sgt Giles was seriously wounded in the crash of Halifax NA179 of 420 Sqn on Feb 14th 1945, returning from an otherwise successful mission over Germany. He was the tail gunner and was rescued from the debris field by two civilians, the aircraft had not been far from making it back to its home airfield. The rest of the crew perished.

For Sale:
today’s photo offering! Larger size at around 16x6 and the faces are quite clear, but i havent quite figured out the battalion yet. There a few tears at the edges, including one which goes in about 3 inches and has had an unfortunate tape repair. The chap on extreme left got folded for the photo to go in a frame sadly, out of interest tho to his left you can see another group of soldiers on the bleachers waiting to get their photo taken.
