Off-season training sets the tone for your next season.
Our off-season training programs focus on increasing speed and power, developing strength, and building a bigger engine. We want you to enter the next season a better athlete than you left. We are now accepting athletes for our summer training groups. Get the chance to work with our Lead Performance Coaches and train with other high performing athletes in a small group environment.

One of the most important components to the learning process is applying the theory to a real world setting.
Today we got back to running our Physical & Health Literacy program for high schools.
We discussed Active Anatomy, learning how the muscles move through ranges of various exercises. We followed that up by going through training progressions and how we implement training in a session.

Today Vicki Bendus] presented for the .link Annual Conference on LTAD with a focus on developmental-aged athletes.
A great accomplishment to see our Lead Coaches not only coaching our athletes but other coaches across the country.
Vicki Bendus] emphasized a principles based approach to athlete development. Below are the primary principles that were covered:
1. Competency before capacity
2. Prioritize skills & speed
3. Preserve trainability while making progress
4. Have a long-term progression plan
5. Develop the aerobic system indirectly

Seeking Summer 2022 Interns
The Brock Sports Performance Summer Internship will allow you the opportunity to gain practical experience working in a varsity environment under the guidance of our Sports Performance staff.
The 16-week curriculum is designed to provide theoretical knowledge accompanied by hours of practical application in the weight room and on the field. Interns will become comfortable using technologies, learn the art of coaching, and learn how to develop athletes from freshmen to seniors.
This year it is expected that components of the internship will be delivered primarily in person but may have a virtual component for the right applicants.

Applicants must be able to attend Staff Training from April 27-30 on campus.

2020-2021 was a trying year for our athletes. We would like to send a sincere thank you to all of our Ridley College athletes for your dedication to your craft in your livings rooms, basements, and everywhere else that became your study space/training space/eating space, etc.
