Today is Nai Khanom Tom Day in Thailand.
It is the celebration of an ideal fighter figure - composed, calm, centered, ready to sacrifice for a greater cause when faced with adversity.
As we are all navigating the uncertainties of the Covid-19 situation, let's all take a healthy dose of inspiration from Nai Khanom Tom and see how we can use our martial art practice, now and into the future, to remain centered, boost our resilience, extend our help to others less fortunate, and to practice kindness and compassion 🙏🏽.

No one behind, no one ahead.
The path the ancients cleared has closed.
And the other path, everyone's path,
easy and wide, goes nowhere.
I am alone and find my way.

Celebrating Loy Krathong - November 11th,2019 full moon
The word ลอย /loi/ means ‘to float’ and Krathong กระทง /grà-tong/ is a small lotus-shaped floating receptacle. Traditionally it is made of banana leaves and banana trunks.
The raft is decorated with flowers, a candle and an incense stick. People often leave a one-Baht coin, a lock of the hair and nail clippings in the Krathong.
Loy Krathong Festival is the time of the year when the people of Thailand ask for forgiveness to “Pra Mae Khongkha พระแม่คงคา” - The goddess of water, for any misdeeds against her and it is the time to fly away misfortune and bad things and ask for good fortune 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Happy Loy Krathong ❤
