I will be offering a Basic Self Rescue Course on April 22, 2023. This will be a one day course focusing on the most essential rescue skills that every climber should know including basic knots and hitches for rescue, belay escape, haul systems, how to lower a climber from a top belay and rope ascension. I will be offering an Intro to Ice Climbing course on February 11. Location tba. The course will run from 9 am to 5 pm and is designed for absolute beginners all the way up to intermediate climbers. Cost is $125. DM if you have questions or would like to sign up for this course.

I will be offering the following courses this spring:

Intro to Rock - this course is for beginner climbers looking to get started climbing at an outdoor cliff. The focus of this course is on climbing movement, belaying, knots and safety systems involved in a top rope climbing environment. Cost for this one day course is $125. May 14, 15, June 4, 5.

Learn to Lead - this course is designed for those who are comfortable top roping and want to learn how to safely lead on bolt protected routes (also known as sport climbing). Route selection, how to clip into protection (bolts), mock leading and anchor building/cleaning will be covered. Cost for this one day course is $125. May 21 and 22

Intro to Traditional Climbing - this course is for those who are comfortable leading sport routes and want to progress to leading gear protected climbs. Emphasis is on how to place traditional climbing gear (cams, nuts, etc) in cracks, mock leading and gear anchors. Cost for this two day course is $175. May 7 and 8

Multi Pitch Climbing - this course is designed for climbers who want to lead multi pitch routes. Topics covered include route selection, anchor building, rope management, belaying a second and rappel techniques for multi pitch. Cost for this one day course is $125. Available upon request.

Improvised Rock Rescue - knowing how to get out of a jam is essential for all climbers. This course is designed to equip you with the skills needed to self rescue you and your partner in a multitude of situations. Cost for this two day course is $175. May 28, 29.

I will be offering the following courses this winter:

Intro to Ice - this course is for beginner climbers looking to get started climbing waterfall ice at one of our many outdoor ice climbing venues. The focus of this course is on basic ice climbing technique, belaying, knots and safety systems involved in a top rope climbing environment. Cost for this one day course is $125. Included in the price is rental of all necessary climbing equipment (boots, crampons, ice axes, harness, helmet, etc).
Dates: January 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 29. February 5, 12.

Learn to Lead Ice - this course is designed for those who are comfortable top roping ice and want to learn how to safely lead easy to moderate ice routes. Anchor building/cleaning will also be covered. Cost for this one day course is $150. 
Dates: January 23, 30. February 6, 13.
