For years, I tried to be easier to understand.
Less intense.
Less emotional.
Less passionate.
Less outspoken.
Less me.
I thought if I softened my edges, everyone would be more comfortable.
If I explained myself better.
If I toned things down.
If I fit into the right boxes.
Maybe then I'd belong.
But the truth is, every time I made myself smaller, I felt further away from who I really was.
And eventually, I got tired.
Tired of editing myself.
Tired of apologizing for taking up space.
Tired of questioning whether I was too much.
Because the things that make us different are often the things that make us powerful.
The parts of me that love movement.
The parts of me that crave nature.
The parts of me that believe healing can be both evidence-based and deeply soulful.
Those aren't contradictions.
They're who I am.
And I'm no longer interested in shrinking myself into something more digestible for other people.
I'd rather be fully expressed than universally understood.
I'd rather be authentic than approved of.
Because there is a freedom that comes when you stop asking for permission to be yourself.
And once you taste that freedom, it's very hard to go back.
✨ What part of yourself are you done apologizing for?

One of the most common things I hear from postpartum moms is:
"My core just doesn't work anymore."
The truth is, your core has been through a lot.
During pregnancy, your abdominal wall stretches, your breathing mechanics change, and your body adapts to support a growing baby.
After birth, many women are left feeling disconnected from their core and unsure where to begin.
That's where the conversation around Diastasis Recti often starts.
But recovery isn't just about closing a gap.
It's about restoring function.
Can your core manage pressure?
Can it support your everyday movements?
Can it work together with your breath and pelvic floor?
Those questions matter far more than a number measured with your fingers.
Your body isn't failing you.
It's communicating with you.
And with the right support, your core can become strong, functional, and resilient again.
💛 Healing isn't about forcing your body to "bounce back."
It's about rebuilding trust in what your body can do.

Motherhood asks a lot of your body.
Hours of feeding.
Carrying children on one hip.
Pushing strollers.
Lifting car seats.
Rocking babies to sleep.
It's no surprise that many moms end up with aching shoulders, tight necks, and persistent back pain.
But what we often call "mom posture" isn't simply about standing up straighter.
It's about how your body has adapted to the demands being placed on it every day.
That's why stretching the sore spots rarely fixes the problem for long.
The solution is often a combination of:
✔ Better movement patterns
✔ Core support
✔ Upper back strength
✔ Breathing mechanics
✔ Functional strength training
Because your body deserves the same care and support that you give everyone else.
You shouldn't have to accept pain as part of motherhood.

"Why do I still look pregnant?"
It's a question many women ask themselves after having a baby.
And often, the assumption is that the answer must be weight loss.
But postpartum recovery is about so much more than body size.
Your abdomen may still appear rounded because of:
▪ Core weakness or disconnection
▪ Diastasis recti
▪ Pressure management challenges
▪ Postural adaptations
▪ Pelvic floor dysfunction
These are functional issues, not personal failures.
Your body has been through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It isn't broken, and it isn't working against you.
It may simply need guidance, support, and a chance to rebuild.
That's why postpartum rehab focuses on restoring function first.
Because when your core learns to work well again, strength becomes easier to build, symptoms often improve, and your body starts feeling more like home again.
Your body isn't failing you.
It's communicating with you.

Somewhere along the way, many women were taught that their bodies are projects.
Something to shrink.
Something to fix.
Something to constantly work on.
Then motherhood arrives and the messages get louder.
Bounce back.
Lose the baby weight.
Get your body back.
As if your body is something you've lost.
As if the body that carried, birthed, fed, comforted, and cared for your children is somehow less worthy than the one that came before.
But what if your body isn't a problem to fix?
What if it's a relationship to rebuild?
What if healing isn't about becoming smaller, tighter, or more disciplined?
What if it's about learning to trust your body again?
To listen to it.
To support it.
To move it in ways that feel good.
To appreciate what it's carried you through.
At Bump & Beyond, I don't believe your body needs punishment.
I believe it deserves support.
Because strength isn't about changing who you are.
It's about reconnecting with yourself.
And from that place, everything else becomes possible.
✨ What is one thing your body has carried you through that you're grateful for today?

One of the most common things I hear from moms is:
"I thought leaking was just part of motherhood."
The truth is that leaking can happen for many different reasons, and strengthening your pelvic floor isn't always the answer.
Sometimes the muscles need more support.
Sometimes they need to learn how to relax.
Sometimes it's a pressure management issue involving your breath, core, and pelvic floor working together.
That's why postpartum rehab isn't about doing more Kegels.
It's about understanding how your body functions as a whole.
Because while leaking is common, it isn't something you should simply accept as your new normal.
Your body is communicating something.
Let's figure out what it's trying to tell you.

One of the biggest myths in postpartum recovery is that healing ends at six weeks.
The reality?
Six weeks is often just the beginning.
Many moms leave their clearance appointment still dealing with leaking, back pain, core weakness, pelvic pressure, or a body that simply doesn't feel like their own.
And because they've been told everything is "fine," they assume these symptoms are just part of motherhood.
They're common.
But they aren't something you have to simply live with.
Postpartum recovery should include rebuilding your core, restoring pelvic floor function, improving movement patterns, and gradually returning to strength in a way that supports your body—not works against it.
You deserve more than being cleared.
You deserve to feel strong, confident, and supported.
