As we wind down the summer many people are coming out of the "july haze" of summer bbq, events and late nights out with friends.
If you're trying to get back on track but struggling with food options, heres a few sheets we created that can quickly show you food options and amounts that'll add up to 20g of protein!
It also helps to know the amount of fats and carbs associated with each one as "lean protein" will come with less fats and carbs.
If you've been trying to lose weight and you aren't seeing what you want for results the two biggest suggestions I have for people is to dial in your calories, and increase Steady State Cardio - for example a steady jog, stair mill, or elliptical.
Start and stop activities aren't going to be measurable enough to allow you to create a repeatable process thats gives results which leaves many people frustrated guessing what works and then they quickly become unmotivated again.

I’ve watched people close to me die because they just didn’t want to get this through their brain because “it’s kinda hard to figure out”. It’s really not, grade 6 math is all that's required.
I think it's heartbreatking and I truly don't want anyone to go through what 8 year old me went through when my father nearly died mostly just due to poor health (I learned some things, helped him, and hes 75 and still ripping around in his 600+ hp car, having a blast as an awesome dad!)

Not ever doing anything you dream of is far more difficult if you ask me, dying of something that was easily preventable sounds hard to me, not sharing your life with your partner, or your family, or your friends, sounds way !@ #$ing harder - to me.

Why did I start Str1ve Fitness, what was my mission - I started Str1ve because I saw how many people were suffering in Saint John and I wanted to help.
I saw a demand that people needed help getting actual science based coaching for health, fitness and living a long term lean and strong lifestyle.
My father nearly died of a heart attack when I was only 8 years old, and I think that's when it hit me.
Heck, most of my parents' family suffer with some kind of weight or health issue, like, literally dying from totally avoidable issues.
I know nothing about politics and don’t really care for it - I don’t spend time on problems I have no intention of fixing.
But I could help my city - one person at a time, one leader at a time.
So I started getting rid of all the gimmicks that so many people need JUST TO BUY a service.
I don’t ever want to teach someone some bs like - “take these supplements and you’ll never have to learn anything in life you’ll just be amazing!!!”
“Don’t ever do cardio because this isn’t really about your health its just about looking good (Note the sarcasm here)”
“Even a bonafide zombie (haha puns) could come back from the dead with abs with my magic pill” (Ya I know, that really ramped up)
That simply isn’t true, we all need skills and good habits - nothing will ever overcome that need and luckily, nothing can take your knowledge or skills away from you.
That's what I want to put in the hands of leaders, an eternal gift that they forever have power and control over their body - or as much as we possibly can.
because most people, sadly just don’t believe in their own power to manifest and would rather believe that some special XYZ pill/method is going to to be their game changer
Don’t forget your power.
You just need to put it into action.
