This speaks volumes. We have the same mission. Create great boxers and develop champions in a real boxing club. We also have many members of the community who train with us and may never compete, using boxing for fitness, but they are part of the team and gain valuable experience.

Team SJGG was on the road again this weekend. We sailed to Digby and drove to Windsor NS. A beautiful event hosted by the Hants County Boxing Academy and Citadel Boxing. It was a great showing of support towards Matthew Carson and his team for their 1st-ever show.
We love seeing our boxers develop into their best versions of themselves. That is why we are as active as we can be. If our boxers are growing and learning; we are testing and levelling up every opportunity we can. Consistency, growth and development are key to a successful experience in the ring.

WE BLEED GOLD 🖤💛

RESULTS:
Logan McNamee winner via UD
Teagan James winner via UD
Jacob Vienneau lost a very close split decision.
Brandon Craft came up short in the 3rd round.

PROUD OF OUR TEAM.

Boxing Update from the 2026 Quebec Open:

Well thats a wrap for Team SJGG.

Today we had Teagan James up 1st, he boxed very well in just his 2nd bout. His opponent came out strong and kept his pace throughout. Teagan did not back down, stood his ground, landed clean shots and came away with amazing experience for his development. After 3 hard rounds, Teagan's bout was stopped in the later part of round 3 via RSC.
Next up we had Logan McNamee in the Heavyweight semi-finals match. Logan boxed very well and listened to his instructions. He was winning in our eyes, but unfortunately the officials didn't agree. Logan lost via super close 3-2 Split decision.

Coaches Joe Blanchard and Matthew Gillis are very happy with the entire teams performance over this tournament. Our team gained valuable experience and all boxers are returning home healthy after multiple bouts.

We had 4 boxers enter tournament and we are returning home with 4 bronze medals.

Back to the gym to refine our errors and continue with our development. We will be in action again next weekend in Windsor NS.

DON'T FORGET!!

WE BLEED GOLD 🖤 💛

Boxing update, May 29th, 2026:

The afternoon session saw Mxi Musa come up just short on the judges score cards losing a split decision. Teagan James bout was scratched, his opponent missed weight, Teagan boxes tomorrow. Logan McNamee won a beautiful bout via UD, he boxes in the finals tomorrow. In a rematch from Nationals where Jacob Vienneau was stopped in round 3, he met the Canadian National Champion again. Jacob did not get the win, but he came some darn close, split decision 3-2. That is a win in my books. That is continued growth.

In Hungary Suri Pafford won her semi-finals bout VS POLAND
She boxes in the finals tomorrow VS France.

Tomorrow Team SJGG will be busy again.

WE BLEED GOLD 🖤💛
