Very excited to welcome Tyler Murphy to as our new Player Development and Scouting Advisor! Welcome Tyler!
Tyler Murphy resides in Harrington, PEI, and brings a wealth of hockey knowledge along with years of experience mentoring and coaching young athletes. He grew up playing hockey in Prince Edward Island before pursuing a career in Child and Youth Care.
Tyler has six years of coaching experience at the U-15 AAA level and currently serves as Head Coach of the Greater Charlottetown U-15 AAA Islanders. He is also an assistant coach for one of Hockey PEI’s High Performance Teams that compete at the Atlantic Challenge Cup. His ability to teach the game and foster a strong culture of togetherness has been instrumental in his success in this role. By building strong, meaningful relationships, Tyler consistently brings out the best in his players.
Tyler holds educational backgrounds in Child and Youth Care as well as Sport and Leisure Management. He is passionate about developing players both on and off the ice. His training in group dynamics, adventure-based learning, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and mental well-being adds significant value to The MacLean Group, helping ensure its athletes are supported to perform and thrive at their highest level.
