Another little blast from the past...
Shane Koss sent me this photo of the
1987 St. Paul Little League All-Star Team. Hard to believe that was almost 40 years ago!
Baseball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it all started on fields right here in St. Paul with a great group of teammates, coaches, parents, and volunteers.
Looking through these names brings back a lot of memories. Some of us are still around the game, some have taken different paths, and one teammate is sadly no longer with us. 🤍
Pretty grateful for the friendships, lessons, and opportunities that started with St. Paul Minor Ball.
Who remembers these days?

⚾️ On this day in 1994…
At just 19 years old, Joe Young got the start for the Toronto Blue Jays in an exhibition game in Medicine Hat. He found himself sharing a clubhouse and field with players many baseball fans still remember today—Joe Carter, Roberto Alomar, John Olerud, Carlos Delgado, Devon White, and Pat Borders.
When asked about the experience, Joe said:
“I’m going to remember this day for a long time. It was the best experience of my life.”
Today, his focus isn’t on his own baseball career.
It’s on helping young athletes build confidence, develop their skills, and create memories of their own.
Because the lessons learned through baseball last far beyond the game itself.
