When this wife and mother started in January, she wasn't looking for a complete life overhaul.
She didn't want a six-day-a-week gym routine.
She just wanted something she could actually do.
A couple of kettlebells.
A small space.
30-45 minutes a day.
5 days a week.
The flexibility to adapt as work and travel schedules changed.
That's it.
Over the next 90 days she learned some basic movement skills, gradually added weight, and built the strength and work capacity to handle more.
By May she had progressed from:
β’ 5 lb hinge drills and bodyweight partial get-ups
to
β’ 24 kg swings and 16 kg get-ups.
But the most important changes weren't the numbers.
She's stronger.
She's more confident.
She doesn't need her husband or kids to carry as much for her anymore.
Clothes that used to feel snug now need a belt.
And the best part?
She's still going.
Over the last six months she's traveled throughout the province and out of the country for work. The kettlebells didn't always come with her, but she kept training anyway. Sometimes that meant bodyweight workouts in a hotel room. Sometimes it meant adapting the plan.
She made her health a priority.
And that's why she's seeing results.
Not because life got easier.
Not because she found the perfect program.
Because she found a process that fit her life.
That's the goal.
Not 90 days.
Not motivation.
Building a life where taking care of yourself is simply what you do.

Flowers (seems I forgot to snap a photo of these)
What are you growing this year?

If you've worked with me in the past, enjoyed the process, but found that not everything stuck long-term, this offer is for you.
Life changes.
Schedules shift.
What worked a year ago might not fit this season of life quite the same way.
Doing everything all the time can be tough, but it gets a little easier when you have someone in your corner.
Someone to help adjust your program to fit your current reality, add a little novelty when training feels stale, keep you accountable, and make sure you're continuing to move well while building strength.
That's why I'm opening up the Conscious Reset.
One month only.
Same great coaching.
No long-term commitment.
Just enough support to help you rebuild momentum and get back into the habit.
DM "RESET" if you'd like details.

Fresh milk
Fresh eggs
I hesitated to make this post because I didn't know what direction to take it.
But I'll stick with this.
I'm pumped to have fresh ingredients out of my yard daily. I love feeding these foods to my daughter. I can't wait until my garden starts producing and we harvest our next round of meat.
It's cool watching it expand to a point where we can share these ingredients with people outside of our household.
In the coming years it may be even more important to have local sources of food that don't need fuel to transport, are subject to tariffs, and you know what's been put into it and how it was raised.
Do you agree?

Training Update
How it's looked lately.
Tuesday - I coach an online Zoom class through where I dive into get ups, swings, and pressing ladders. (DM me if you want to check it out and I can give you a promo code)
Thursday - I take advantage of the childcare at Shaw Center to get some barbell work in. Usually a squat, bench, deadlift.
Sunday - I join for his Sunday class where we jump, SBD, and finish with some kettlebell complexes. Rosie and I have been going to that class weekly since she was 6 weeks old and we LOVE it.
I wish I could say that I did more swings at home while Rosie napped, but I generally take that time to nap, too, so three days a week it is for me.
I'm officially halfway through my next body building phase.
Next baby coming October 2026 πͺπ€°πΆπ

What does it mean....
To be Consciously Strong..
To Consciously Rewire?
Basically, it's to intentionally become a person who takes care of themselves; who builds strength daily and recovers appropriately.
It's to create habits and routines that allow you to just BE a person who exercises, eats well, manages their stress, etc. No motivation or discipline required.
The concept came from the idea of neuroplasticity. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks. You can build new habits, routines, and lifestyle.
Health living doesn't need to be overwhelming. With guidance, it can actually REMOVE quite a bit of overwhelm because your body becomes stronger, your mind sharper, and you have a set of systems and routines in place that make improvement automatic.
With this you can spend more time and energy living life the way you want to.
It doesn't happen overnight and it doesn't need to be drastic, but it can be long lasting.
I teach people how to exercise for decades, not just days or weeks.

Same weight.
Different squat.
January β above parallel
March β approaching depth
Progress isnβt always measured by adding more weight.
Sometimes itβs building the strength, control, and confidence to move better through the same load.
