The 2022 racing season is a wrap and all I can say is wow.
This year was a rollercoaster of hard work, ups, downs and everything in between. From starting the season off at the back of the pack, to lighting on fire. Then within a couple of weeks, qualifying P2 at the biggest event of the year and being one of the quickest cars on track in the second half of the season.
The last race we were comfortably one the top 5 quickest cars on Saturday finishing 3rd and 2nd in the heat races. I was making my way through the field, making passes when about halfway through the feature got clipped in the rear causing a spin and being sent to the back. I can’t say I agree with the towers call to put responsibility on me for the spin but with any sport sometimes the ref makes a bad call. It is what it is and in the last 19 laps we were able to pass half the field to finish 7th or 8th.
I’m so proud of the team, we worked incredibly hard this year and turned a dump truck into a race car! Luck was definitely not on our side however it’s bound to turn around in the future!
