Sleigh bells! I’ve made up a few strap of bells. The brass rump bells are actually antique bells that have been put on new harness leather - the bells on two of the straps were polished, and one left with its original patina. They all sound really nice, getting me in the holiday spirit! 🎄

These leather bridles were part of a recent project; a set of fancy show harness (I’ll post a photo of them in the comments). Although the project took longer than anticipated, I’m happy with the final result! I’m so grateful for my customers and their patience, since I’m limited to weekends in the shop. This summer, I’ll be slowing down due to an upcoming hip surgery, but I’m looking forward to gearing up again in fall. I hope everyone has a great summer!

This month I started a bit larger project - a draft team show harness. It was a bit daunting at first, (lots and lots of spots!) but it’s getting easier as I go. Pictured is some of the pieces I’ve built so far. Can’t wait to see it when it’s finished and on the horses!

This is just a short video of my work space, even though it’s a bit messy, it’s a happy place!
It’s been a busy fall, building new harness and harness parts, harness repairs and the odd tack item as well. I really appreciate everyone’s patience while I complete orders as quickly as I can. A full-time job keeps me away during the week, so my much loved shop time is limited to weekends.
Hoping everyone is able to spend some relaxing time with their horses. Sending warm holiday wishes to all, and may your new year be the best yet!

I haven’t posted much lately - this spring/summer has brought other time consuming commitments. But, this fall my shop work will be ramping up again, and I can’t wait! Stay tuned. In the meantime, I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing summer! 😎⛱️☀️
