On a mission to revitalize and operate a hub for year-round equine activities in Saskatoon. You will be given **ONE** warning.

Welcome to ESAA
While our main focus is to provide information on the equine industry in the province and actively support its future, both our admin and our page followers often engage in conversation on the page. In this way we make new friends, share memories, and think of ways to improve horse racing both in the province and as a whole. Notably, we raise questions intended to hold accountable

NOW OPEN: we are accepting applications for use of the racetrack and the Ag Centre. If you have ever wanted to use the Marquis Downs Racetrack or the Ag Centre or wished that they could be improved, now is your chance to make that happen!

Think of ESAA as a clean slate. What would you do if given the chance to use the facilities? What is possible?

These applications will help us complete our plans to offer as many programs as possible for the biggest impact. It will give us a better idea of the level of interest in the facilities and, importantly, what the ag community needs from us.

Some examples:
• Do you wish to use the infield for sports like polocrosse, eventing, or agility?
• Are you a coach who wants to offer schooling for youth?
• Are you a trainer looking for affordable winter board?
• Are you a farrier who wants to put on a demonstration, or a vet who wants to run a summer educational program for the community?
• Do you operate a food truck and want to sell on race nights?
• Do you envision bigger and better 4H or Pony Club events?
• Do you belong to an organization that needs more space for events without breaking the bank?

From stabling to school horses, educational programming and events and everything in between, we want to work with the community for the benefit of the entire agricultural industry in Saskatchewan. If you have a need for the facilities, please fill out the form! By doing so, you will make our request stronger and will help us ensure that we can work with organizations and individuals like you far into the future.

From the front page of the Star Phoenix, I bring you exciting news about a future for ag in Saskatchewan, from a hub in Saskatoon.

-----
The Saskatchewan Equine Sport and Agricultural Association (ESAA) has unveiled what it calls an “ambitious plan to establish the foremost equine sporting facility in Saskatchewan.”

The initiative by the non-profit organization will involve a formal request for control of the Marquis Downs racetrack and its supporting structures, as well as a plan to offer a slate of year-round events and activities.

The request would allow the organization to use both the track and the Prairieland Ag Center to promote events 12 months a year, from horse racing to polocrosse, school field trips to a community garden, equine educational seminars and demonstrations to sleigh rides and more..."
-----

Please share this with your friends, family, or any other horse-crazy people you know who could make use of a facility such as this. ESAA is also actively looking for groups or individuals who wish to use the facility for more general ag events, such as youth ag programs.

Hi everyone,

I don't want to overwhelm this group with Prairieland and other political stuff not directly related to horse racing, so if you want to see how this and other issues end, I invite you to join Stand Up Saskatoon. I promise there will be a lot of interesting stuff!
