18U AAA/AA SPBL Registration 2027!
Registration for the 2027 season is now open, registration will close September 10th 2026. Click here to register for 18UAAA/18UAA evaluations

18UAAA and 18UAA tryouts are open to players born in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and female players under the age of 21 residing within the Saskatoon City limits. Only players that reside in Zone 6 may register for any of our City Wide teams.

Before registering, please be sure to familiarize yourself with our “Residency Requirement” bylaw, which can be found by clicking here.

Late registrations will be accepted up to September 15th but will be charged a late fee of $50 in addition to the $150 registration fee. Please email [email protected] if you wish to register late.

Evaluation dates for 18U AAA:

Note: These evaluations will also be used for the 18U AA SPBL team as well.

Please show up at least 20 minutes prior to your designated start time in order to sign in and get a warm up in.

The Skills Session will be held Wednesday September 16th. – 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Cairns Field.

Situations will be held Saturday and Sunday September 19th and 20th

The “Situations” day of evaluations. Players will be put through different baseball situations where they will be evaluated on: Baseball I.Q., Hitting Power, Hitting Contact, Fielding and Base Running. Catchers will also be evaluated on this day.

Saturday September 19th – 11:00am – 1:00pm (Waygood East)

Sunday September 20th – 11:00am – 1:00pm (Waygood East)

There will be no “Alternate” evaluation date for 18U AAA. Players that can’t attend will be assessed on their evaluation numbers from last year, the skill level they played last year and feedback from their coaches last year. If it is determined that they can or could play at a 18U AAA level, they will be included in the group of players that coaches can pick from.

We are also accepting notice of interest for head coach of the 2027 18UAA team. At this time, we are looking to identify potential coaches for the AA team. If you may be interested in coaching an AA team, please let us know so we can include you in the tryout process as it unfolds.

This past weekend, SPBL league awards were handed out to recognize some of the league’s best for the 2026 season. We are extremely proud to recognize that our very own, Emmett Goetz, is the 2026 SPBL Defensive Player of the Year!
This award is voted on by the coaches throughout the league. Emmett was outstanding for us all year, compiling a .979 FPCT in 191 total chances. Catching 137.0 innings, Emmett threw out runners at a 24.3% rate, and committed only 4 errors all year while playing in 31 out of 32 games.
Congratulations to you Goetzy on this outstanding accomplishment!
