The snowshoe trail has been established around the retreat. It's about 25 minutes if you take your time going from the parking lot, down Dutch Grower's road. Through the meadow and back up to the Retreat. The trail is on a small map on the fridge, but it is not hard to follow.

Saskatoon Glassworkers' Guild is having a Graal glass blowing workshop Sunday October 30 & Sunday Nov 6, 2022. This is a fun 2 day workshop that combines glass painting with furnace glass blowing.

graal workshop page In this workshop we will start with a graal "blank". Making the Graal blank involves first blowing a small, clear bubble of glass, often no bigger than an egg, and overlaying it with hot coloured or clear glass. It is then annealed and cooled to room temperature.

The cranes and geese are gathering on the river. The leaves are quickly changing colour at the retreat as well. The river water level is quite low right now.

ASR was visited by moose this weekend. Did not see any of them in person but a lot of tracks and other solid evidence was found surrounding the building.
