I’ve spent a lot of the last 15 years travelling and exploring different places, so to many people, it may seem strange that I always choose to come back to Saskatoon rather than explore somewhere else. But when I first started travelling, I was young and discovering what the world had to offer, what I could bring with me, and how it would change me.

Travelling shaped my experiences, but every time I come home, it mirrors back all the little parts of who I am.

I first noticed it when I ran into a client who told me she had conquered an obstacle we had worked through together in coaching. It reminded me that the work I do matters.

Then I had coffee with a student who was deepening his training and offering support to others. His development inspired me.

I laughed with my fiery auntie as we agreed that our bluntness comes from good intentions. I am grateful to have been raised around strong women.

My Mom called someone by a weird nickname like “Moody Mike” or “Dolla Dolla Bill,” and I realized where some of my own strange little tendencies came from.

There was something warm in my heart when my friends were expressing themselves authentically and growing through their experiences. I can't take credit, but it was beautiful to see.

These little moments filled me with pride, laughter, awareness, and curiosity. They brought up memories and appreciation for parts of my past that had previously been difficult to accept or understand.

Relationships are one of the most important things in my life, and having space away from the people I love allowed the love we share to be reflected back to me.

Not because I am some all-important person, but because I get to carry little characteristics of the people I admire so much. The people I copied, consciously or unconsciously, until pieces of them became a part of me and were quietly imprinted on my heart.

It served as a gentle reminder that self-love is not simply liking yourself. Sometimes, it is remembering all of the people you love and recognizing the ways they have become a part of you.

It was a discovery I didn’t expect to find, but possibly one of the most beautiful gifts I’ll take with me to my next destination

It seems like the happier I am the less I take pictures of myself. Summer 2026 was primarily walking dogs & swimming in the ocean. Despite some obstacles it was a very happy few months. 🏊‍♀️🐕☕️

In this month's newsletter, we explore the meaning of life; I share about an upcoming event and some of my favourite comics :)

A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to a birthday party attended by many of my much older friends. I've been making an effort to be more social lately, so I went. At first, I felt a little uncomfortable, but then I remembered that when talking to most people between fifty and seventy, all you have....

Proof of life ✨️

Life is beautiful outside my phone. I have great friends, a cool temporary home, interesting projects and always good food. I'm grateful to have time to create and write for myself, instead of consumption. I'm not sure when Ill be fully back, even though it feels nerve wracking letting my business and marketing pause/fade away.

You can always reach me over WhatsApp, my email or if you like my writing read my newlsetter.

A very non-esthetic drop of the past couple months:

• Broke my foot
• Said goodbye to some great friends
• Chilled with my dog

This was a challenging season but I am grateful for the space and introspection it offered. O continually come back to two major lessons:

✨️ You can't control what happens around you but you can choose how you think about it
✨️ People are important and life is easier with friends

Im still figuring out how I want to show up on the online space or if I still do but for my family and friends here's a reminder I'm still alive :)

When I got home a week ago I was feeling tired and grumpy. My digestion was off. I noticed more arguments in my head and more self-criticism. And honestly, I didn't leave myself the option to slow down - it's a high season of work for me.

I also noticed that when I was not present when working. I always had something on in the background - reels, podcasts, noise. My body would feel exhausted when my brain was awake... then it would flip wired brain, tired body.

From a nervous system perspective this is a sign of moving between sympathetic activation and Dorsal vagal shutdown. Sympathetic is our "go" state - the gas pedal - when we push perform and stay alert. Dorsal vagal is a shutdown response - heaviness, fog low energy, disconnection.

Getting stuck in these two can feel like having your foot in the gas and the break at the same time. The body wants rest, but the mind won't slow down. Or the mind wants clarity, but the body feels heavy and resistant. It's a way your body signals it's needs.

Instead of getting upset with myself, I looked at the reality. My body is adjusting. It's a busy season. I had another emergency before I left Canada. My dog is also re-adjusting. I know this because I looked at my Somatic resource sheet and it showed me the patterns I know come with dysregulation.

So I chose a few non-negotiables. One walk on the beach or to the jungle with my dog. Reading before bed. Nourishing meals. Simple things that help my body find pace and adapt more easily.

This meant my house stayed messy for longer than I wanted. But because health is a core value for me, I let some things slide. Everything is caught up and clean today even though it took a little longer.

I wanted to share this as we are in the season of food, money, stress, resolutions and hangovers-

You don't have to push harder if your system is slowing you down. Feeling foggy, reactive or disconnected is a sign you should be gentle on yourself and stick to your basics.

You probably already know what you need - but if you don't I have lots of resources and courses to support you feeling your best :)

There is so much intensity in the world right now, and it's important to understand how consuming it can affect your well being. In this blog post we will get into the science of divisive tech.

Explore how constant screen time and rapid eye movements affect the nervous system, and how somatic practices can help restore balance on the polyvagal ladder. Learn simple ways to create more peace, resilience, and true rest in daily life.

Tomorrow, I’m hosting a walking workshop at Ivy Yoga House in Saskatoon!

We’ll be releasing deep muscles that contribute to hip and back pain, such as the iliopsoas, IT band, piriformis, and hamstrings.

Strangely enough, even though the workshop is about walking, most of the movements will be done lying on your back.

This gentle and relaxing workshop will feel like getting a massage from the inside out!

Hope to see you there 😊
