Winter underwater hockey time!
YMCA of Saskatoon gave us pool time on Tuesdays from 8pm to 9pm.

We are really low on participants and may have times with zero attendance but if you want to test or even are able to build up the team we are where for you!
Best is let us know if you come to the training :) it motivates in cold evenings.

Dear CUGA community,

It is with pleasure and excitement that we write today to announce that the Elite Women's coach Andrei Savu and Masters Women’s Coach Marie-Renée Blanchet are working together to provide opportunities for women from all over the country to play women’s hockey in the new year. These opportunities will come in the form of Women’s weekends, and contain games, team and individual drills, and conferences / discussions.

The goal is to create opportunities for women underwater hockey players to come together for weekends and enjoy sharing, playing and developing together. These camps are not considered selection camps for 2027 World Championships. They will not take away your chance to play with your club at tournaments, which is greatly encouraged.

Here are the first two important dates regarding these opportunities:

INFORMATION MEETING AND DISCUSSION:
We will host an information and discussion meeting on November 16th, 9PM eastern, via zoom. The link will be provided later.

FIRST WOMEN’S WEEKEND EVENT:
The first women’s weekend of the year will be held on January 3rd-4th in Guelph, Ontario. The event will be all day Saturday and Sunday. The event will end early enough Sunday afternoon to allow everyone to fly back home on Sunday evening and be at work or school Monday AM. We will combine in water drills, women’s games, meetings and dryland training / drills. Should be a fun and packed weekend underwater!

IMPORTANT:
You are invited to participate in the events whether or not you want to join the National programs- the camps are entirely focused on providing opportunities for women to play underwater hockey together, without any pressure towards joining one program or the other.
