The 2026 SCI Convention has come to an end, and what a great time it was! We truly enjoyed spending time with longtime friends and meeting so many new ones.

Ron’s Northern Forest Success
It’s been a long week up here in the bush, but hard work always pays off. Ron made the trip to hunt with us at Northern Saskatchewan Wilderness Hunts, and the boreal didn’t make it easy — warm temps, long sits, and a lot of timber to cover.

But persistence wins.

Ron ended up tagging out on a very unique northern Saskatchewan whitetail. After getting a closer look, it appears this buck had been wounded a few months back, likely by an arrow — tough as nails and still roaming the big woods.

Huge congratulations to Ron on an incredible deer and an unforgettable week in camp. 👏🦌

🦌 Northern Saskatchewan Wilderness Hunts – Another Incredible Week in the Books! 🦌

Mark made the trip all the way from Ontario to join us at Northern Saskatchewan Wilderness Hunts, and what a hunt it turned into!

After long quad rides to the remote bush camp, grinding it out all week, and watching tons of deer movement mostly under the cover of darkness, persistence finally paid off on Thursday.

Mark connected on a beautiful, heavy 5x5 buck with an extra beam coming off the antlers — a true northern Saskatchewan stud!

What a beauty! Last week we tagged a stunning dark chocolate–horned 5x5 whitetail here at Northern Saskatchewan Wilderness Hunts! 🦌

This season has been a tough one — warmer weather and lots of nocturnal movement have made things challenging, but hard work, patience, and persistence always pay off. This incredible buck is proof of that.

✈️ From Airport Chaos to Mr. Perfect 🦌

Our hunter Terry from Georgia sure didn’t have it easy getting here this week! After dealing with one headache after another — delayed flights, missed connections, a canceled flight in Calgary, and even having to make the long drive up north — she finally made it to camp with no clothes, no gear, and no luggage (thanks to the airlines 😅).

But the first morning out, all that travel stress paid off in a big way. Terry dropped an absolute northern Saskatchewan giant — a picture-perfect five-by-five we’re calling “Mr. Perfect.”

Congrats, Terry! After everything you went through, you definitely earned this one. Mr. Perfect is in the shed! 💪🇨🇦🦌

Another unforgettable week in the North!
Jerry, Steve, Mark, and Steve Jr. made their annual trip up to Northern Saskatchewan Wilderness Hunts for their fourth year in a row, and once again, they didn’t disappoint! 🦌

These guys put in the work and were rewarded with some magnificent northern whitetails — true trophies of the boreal woods. It’s always a pleasure having this crew in camp, bringing great energy, laughter, and stories that’ll be told around the fire for years to come.

First Deer of the Year! 🦌
Muzzleloader season is officially underway, and what a way to kick it off! Our first deer of the year was harvested by a hunter who made the long trip all the way from Michigan to Northern Saskatchewan.

He put in the time, braved the northern chill, and was rewarded with a beautiful Saskatchewan buck — the kind that makes the miles and memories worth it.
