Scheer’s Martial Arts acknowledges National Truth and Reconciliation Day in Canada. This day is meant to reflect on Canada’s ongoing commitment to recognize the tragic history of residential schools.

By taking a moment to pause and raise public awareness, we honour the families, survivors and young children who lost their lives. May they never be forgotten.

There are no regularly scheduled classes on September 30th

✅Note there will be an Open Mat for Scheer’s students from 5:30 to 7:30pm

Strong performance from the Scheer’s Carlson Gracie Team at the CLBJJ Championships this past Saturday! 🥋⚔️🔥

Our team brought home some outstanding results:

🏆 1st Place Overall Team No-Gi
🥉 3rd Place Overall Team Gi

Congratulations to everyone who competed, stepped up, tested themselves and contributed to these achievements. Your hard work, dedication and continued improvement are paying off!

A huge thank-you to Coaches Jason and Jesse for coaching and supporting the team throughout the day. And to all the teammates who came out to cheer, encourage and support the crew—your presence made a difference. That’s what being part of a team is all about! 🙏🏼

I’d like to wish all my Scheer’s Carlson Gracie Team crew headed to the CLBJJ Tourney this Saturday all the best! Enjoy the battles and most importantly the lessons that come with them! 🙏🏼⚔️🥋

Professor’s Jason Betke & Jesse Stewart will both be there coaching and yelling all the words of encouragement that I cannot, So a BIG shout out and thank you to you both for being there for the team! 🙏🏼🤙🏼

Also a big shout out to Coach Cory “The Irish Virus” Chambers who is hosting his 2nd Dojo Fight Light Kickboxing event in North Battleford! 🥊🔥

I wish I could be there again to support you Cory. The first event was a great experience and a fantastic opportunity for athletes who are thinking about fighting to dip their toes into the competition waters in a fun and supportive environment.

Shout out as well to Senseis Blair Turnquist and Dan Akre who are headed out to assist Cory with the event! Thank you guys for stepping up and supporting the athletes and the martial arts community. 🙏🏼

I wish I could be three places at once this weekend but unfortunately I can’t!

Wishing everyone positive experiences, much success and some great battles. Have fun, compete hard, learn something and most importantly be safe!

Congratulations to Ashley Martins, who returned from Salt Lake City, Utah with an impressive performance at the Grappling Industries Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships, earning Double Gold!

Since moving into the Blue Belt division, Ashley has continued to challenge herself against tough competition while steadily improving her game. Her dedication to training and willingness to keep learning were on full display this weekend.

Congratulations, Ashley! We’re proud of your continued growth and look forward to seeing what’s next.
