Having been around for nearly 20 years, RCSID is one of the longest running Irish Dance Schools in Saskatchewan. RCSID performs annually at the Festival of Trees every November and Folkfest every August. The school also frequents competitions throughout the year that take place all over Western Canada. 📣✨We are so excited to share our new name and logo with you!
As many of you know, our school has been known as Blakey River City Irish Dance since our amalgamation last fall. That name has been an important part of our story, and we are so grateful for the history, growth, and community it represents.
As we look ahead, we wanted a name that feels true to who we are now and where we are going. Sask Irish Dance was chosen to honour our roots in Saskatoon, SK and to show the pride we have in the small but mighty place we call home.
As our dancers continue to compete across Canada and on the international stage, we want them to proudly represent where they come from. This new name gives our dancers a strong, clear identity — one that reflects our community, our province, and the heart of our school.
While our name and logo are changing, our values remain the same. We are still the same dance family, with the same commitment to supporting our dancers, celebrating their growth, and sharing our love of Irish Dance.
We are proud to begin this next chapter as Sask Irish Dance.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to see our dancers represent Sask with pride, both at home and around the world 💚🩷

Greta worked so hard to make her NAIDC debut a reality this year and we couldn’t be more proud! G is a leader and a hard worker in and out of the studio and we know this is just the beginning. Great job, Greta! You’re a star 🌟

Two solid rounds at his 1st North Americans in the Boys U10 competition!
Cormac held his own in a strong group of lads. We are so happy to watch him thrive onstage and are reminded of the 2-year-old Cormac showing off his best “Lord of the Dance”. The technique has definitely improved, but the stage presence was always there! So proud of you, C! Keep up the hard work💫
