Davis Cup is the team tennis where countries put forward their team and compete country vs country. It includes singles and doubles. It includes tennis powerhouse countries such as Spain. It includes countries much larger in population such as United States.
This fall in Malaga Spain, Canada went all the way and brought home the Davis Cup. Canada is the 2022 World Champions. We can be proud of the team members and the coaches. We can say "Canada is a Tennis Nation"

Sault Ste Marie court inventory is very interesting. The number of Pickle Ball courts is vastly greater than tennis. And of the tennis courts, only a few are not shared w Pickle Ball. Only a few allow court booking. If you work or go to school, you prefer to be able to book court time.

The Soo needs an Indoor Tennis Center
“Tennis is a Sport for Life” A sport for small kids to aging seniors.
Male and Female. Competitive and Social. Worldwide.
An Indoor Tennis Center makes possible year around:
Court Booking, Youth Programs, Leagues, and Tournaments.
Tennis could become a high school sport. Girls and Boys.
Many other communities across have an Indoor Tennis Center.
Support Sault Ste Marie Tennis Ass'n & City Hall to make it happen.

Consider this Tennis Canada Report. Sault Ste Marie is a fabulous sports community. SSM deserves to keep up with tennis facilities. Support the petition for Indoor Tennis for SSM.

Ursala writes: Young Canadian tennis players are making it big in the international tennis tournaments, and tennis is on the upswing in many cities, Kids would play here in the Sault if there were facilities to do so.
Ursala played and helped manage the old RYTAC facility for years.
