🇩🇲 Our Dominican Star All-Rounder — Jedd Joseph 🩵💙

Introduced to us before the season, Jedd came into Ceylon and made an immediate impact. The true definition of an all-rounder. If he’s not taking wickets, he’s scoring runs, and if he’s not doing either, he’s making something happen in the field.

In just 9 matches, Jedd finished the season with:

🏏 253 runs
🔥 18 wickets
🎯 Bowling average: 15.22
⚡ Economy: 4.78
💥 Best bowling: 5/36
🙌 6 catches
🎯 1 run out

He genuinely loves being in the action. Under the bat, on the boundary, in the ring, wherever you put him, he’s ready to contribute.

But the best part about “Jedi,” as he’s known back home, is the person behind the cricketer. A proud Dominican 🇩🇲 now living in Barbados 🇧🇧, he’s as humble and down to earth as they come and fit straight into the Ceylon family.

253 runs. 18 wickets. 7 direct fielding contributions. Impact in every facet of the game.

Watch out for this guy. Jedd is going to be one to reckon with. 🐘🩵💙

🩵💙 NEW FACE. IMMEDIATE IMPACT. 🐘

Joining Ceylon midway through the 2026 season, Ravin Nauth didn’t take long to make his presence felt.

A natural top-order batsman, Ravin came in with one simple attitude: he’d bat wherever the team needed him. And wherever we put him, he delivered.

🔥 A scintillating 86 against V.P., taking the game away with a brilliant display of batting.

🔥 Nearly pulled off an unbelievable chase against Qalanders in a 1-run thriller, smashing 23 runs in the final over, including two sixes.

🔥 And in our final game of the season, he played another important hand with a sharp 35 off 34 balls against IndoPak, helping Ceylon finish 2026 with a comprehensive win.

Another bright spot in a batting unit that showed plenty of firepower this season.

We can’t help but wonder… if we had Ravin for a few more games, where could we have finished?

He may have joined us midway through the journey, but it didn’t take long for him to show exactly what he brings to this team.

Ravin Nauth. Welcome to the Ceylon family. 🐘🩵💙

Ceylon 2026. 🐘🩵💙

A few faces missing from the photo, but this is the group that represented Ceylon this season.

New faces, familiar faces, big performances, narrow losses and rain affected matches. In the end, we missed the playoffs by essentially one game. It hurts, but it doesn’t take away from what this group built throughout the season.

Through it all, we stayed true to the Ceylon formula: family, friendship, enjoying our cricket and competing hard every time we stepped onto the field.

One of the things we’re most proud of is the respect this team earned. Throughout the season, opponents went out of their way to tell us what a good team we had and how much they enjoyed competing against us. We played hard, left everything out there and represented the badge the right way.

Only the second time in the last six seasons that Ceylon won’t be playing playoff cricket. That says a lot about the standard this club has built, but it also gives us plenty of motivation for what comes next.

We came close. We learned. We grew. And we’ll be back better, stronger and with a vengeance.

Ceylon 2026. That’s a wrap. Adios. 🐘🩵💙

The Silent Assassin. 🥷🏏

Quietly going about his work all season. No noise, no fuss, just runs.

Hardik Kothari finishes the season with 306 runs, second highest for Ceylon, while forming a reliable opening partnership at the top of the order.

A strong first season in Ceylon colours, and plenty more to come. 🐘🩵💙

A moment that will live forever in Ceylon history. 💯

Varnan Naresh — Ceylon Cricket Academy’s FIRST CENTURION. 🐘🩵💙

A magnificent 134, becoming the first player to raise the bat for a century in Ceylon colours.

History made. Record set. Name remembered.

🏏 ENDING THE SEASON WITH A STATEMENT! 🐘🐘🐘

CEYLON CRICKET ACADEMY 260/5
INDO PAK SPARTANS 185 ALL OUT

CEYLON WIN BY 75 RUNS!

What a way to close out our first season back in the TDCA Elite Division.

Our batting unit set the tone, led by another outstanding opening partnership from Varnan Naress (85) and Hardik Kothari (80), followed by a valuable 35 from Ravindra Nauth as we posted a commanding 260/5.

This one meant a little more.

Last season, our playoff run ended against Indo Pak in the quarter finals in controversial fashion. Although our own playoff hopes were already over coming into today, we hadn’t forgotten. A 75 run victory to finish our season, while dealing a major blow to their playoff hopes, brought a little bit of retribution one year later.

But more importantly, we’re proud of what this group accomplished.

Our first season back in Elite ends with a 7 and 5 record, 54 points and a 9th place finish, just 1.5 wins behind the teams sitting in the final playoff positions. Four no results in a rain affected season left us wondering what might have been, but that’s cricket.

We competed. We learned. We showed we belong at this level.

We end 2026 on a high, and we’ll take every positive and every lesson from this season into the next one.

Heads held high. The journey continues. We’ll be back stronger in 2027. 🏏🩵💙🩵

Another performance from a day where club records were being rewritten deserves its own spotlight.

The silent assassin, Hardik Kothari, quietly went about his business with a composed 54 off 61 balls, playing his part in what has become one of the real bright spots of our season: a consistent and dependable opening partnership.

A former Toronto Cricket Academy player, and student of the late Mr. Brian Hale. Hardik joined Ceylon this past off-season and has quickly cemented his place at the top of the order. Alongside Varnan, he has given us stability, patience and a platform to build from.

No noise, no fuss, just runs. Another well-played half-century and another strong performance from a player who has become an important part of this Ceylon side.

AN ABSOLUTE GEM WITH THE BALL. 🇹🇹🔥

Another piece of Ceylon Cricket Academy history was made against Maple Quest as Joshua Davis delivered a sensational 7/23, setting a new club record for the best bowling figures in Ceylon’s TDCA Men’s Cricket history.

🏏 10 Overs
🎯 2 Maidens
🔥 7 Wickets
🔒 23 Runs

7/23. A Ceylon club record.

Josh completely took control of the innings, tearing through the Maple Quest batting lineup.

This performance showcased exactly why this Queen’s Park Cricket Club player from Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 and national level cricketer is the real deal.

His quality was there for everyone at the ground to see. Even the umpire had nothing but positive things to say about Josh’s bowling and the level he displayed throughout his spell.

Having a player of Josh’s calibre representing Ceylon is something we’re extremely proud of. Beyond the wickets, it’s the experience, intensity and standard he brings every time he steps onto the field.

Seven wickets. Twenty three runs. Ten overs. Club history. 🇹🇹🏏

An unforgettable spell and another major milestone for Ceylon as we continue building towards an even bigger future.

Congratulations, Josh. What a performance.
