Sport doesn't stop at provincial borders. Neither should our conversations.
I've spent years organizing sporting events throughout Western Canada.
I've watched athletes from different provinces, communities and countries come together through sport.
To me, that's one of the things that makes Canada special.
I support Alberta remaining part of Canada. That's my personal position.
But I also believe every athlete, coach and sport organization should feel comfortable asking questions about how potential constitutional changes could affect sport.
Funding. National championships. Athlete development. Provincial and national affiliations.
These issues deserve discussion, not assumptions.
We can disagree on politics and still work together to protect opportunities for athletes.
