We’re starting strong with the launch of our 1st annual Big Buck Challenge. This year, two hunters will take home the ultimate prize, a 5 day Moose Hunting Trip to Caribou Cove Outfitters. One grand prize will be awarded to a Shelburne County winner and the other to a province wide winner.

But that’s just the beginning. With lots of prize packages and categories to enter, there are plenty of chances to win. Entry is only $40 per category, making this season’s challenge one you won’t want to miss.

Exciting news! We are pleased to be able to support Megan Christie's initiative for a junior archers program! Megan has been doing the groundwork, collecting names and gathering the supplies needed to get this program up and running. We will have more information about the program, schedule and events as the memberships roll in and interest grows. To register your junior archer, please fill out the Hartz Point Archers Association membership form found at Locke's Lifestyle, Sporting & Outdoor Adventures or contact Megan Christie.

With everything going on locally yesterday we had a good turnout for the opening. Thanks to everyone who showed up and participated as well as to the group of spectators who came out to watch. Congrats to our winners Kevin Langdon and Dustin Swim. Kevin shot 203 out of a possible 220 to take home the Stealthcam 360 and battery. Dustin won the 80 yard long shoot 2” from the bullseye to take home a Nomad shirt and beanie. It was great to have some young shooters out enjoying the course.

This upcoming Saturday June 14 we are hosting an Archery Nova Scotia shoot. This will be two rounds with registration starting at 8am. They’ll be good prizes and lobster chowder for all shooters in between rounds. You must be a registered member of ANS to participate. To join ANS hit the link below then the menu bar and join now. Be sure to have your ANS number with you when registering on Saturday.

Excitement is building and the course is set for our Grand Opening Shoot this Saturday June 7th! Registration starting at 1pm, approx start time 2pm. Fee for the shoot is $25.00. There will be prizes for the highest score on the course and also for a long range shoot contest. If you have yet to register to become a member there will be registration forms on sight. Come on out and see what the course is all about and meet the people who have put it all together. We look forward to seeing you there 😁
