🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation | September 30 🧡
At Dancefusion Academy of Dance, we believe our studio is not only a place to dance, but also a place to learn, listen, reflect and grow together.
We are grateful to live, learn and dance on Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional lands and gathering places of many Indigenous Peoples, including the Nehiyaw (Cree), Dene, Blackfoot and Métis.
Classes will continue as scheduled on September 30th. Throughout the evening, our dancers will participate in small, age-appropriate activities and moments of reflection focused on kindness, understanding, respect and reconciliation.
We recognize that reconciliation is an ongoing journey, and even small opportunities to learn and have meaningful conversations with our young people can make a difference.
Today, we honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families and their communities. 🧡
