FYI....a notice from Transport Canada

Good morning all,

Please see attached document regarding Tsehum Harbour and Canoe Bay – Vessel Operation Restriction Regulation Notice

As there have been many complaints over the years about excessive speed and wakes caused by recreational/commercial vessels in the local area. We would like to remind all seafarers that such operation of their vessel affects property along with increasing risks to safety of all users on the water way.

We are asking that you distribute this notice to your members/clients that share the water ways of Tsehum Harbour and Canoe Bay.

We are taking a multi step approach to address this issue. First one being, an education and awareness approach as the weather and season is now becoming favorable for all users and we will be seeing an increase of boating activity. We will be monitoring to see the effectiveness of the education and awareness before moving into an enforcement approach.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.

OWNER HAS BEEN FOUND!.....:-)
Does anyone know the owner of what I believe is a Valiant 40 sailboat named "Marlene E" that was moored in Tsehum Harbour, in last nights windstorm it broke loose & drifted into Blue Heron Basin. One of the local neighbours secured a line on it & towed it into our docks for safety. We would really like to talk to the owner....:-). Message us here or email [email protected], thanks.
