A legend lays to rest 🕊️❤️🐶 We are very saddened to let you know our iconic Mona passed away peacefully this weekend.

Mona was beloved in the gym and known for greeting and sniffing all your gym gear. She loved being social and loved bitting some of you even more (IYKYK.)

She will be extremely missed in the gym and we thank you all for all the love and treats you gave her over the years 💔

Next up, Chase 👇

Chase brings over 12 years in the sport and 9 years of coaching experience to Teddy’s. Originally from Prince George and now based in Victoria, he is BoxingBC certified and has coached athletes at all levels—cornering over 50 fights and working with both provincial and national medalists.

He found boxing as a way to build confidence and quickly turned it into a path of growth and purpose.

Chase’s coaching focuses on developing both skill and self-belief, helping people become more confident and capable—inside and outside of the gym.

And yes… he loves a good liver shot.

Client Feature: Ralph Goring 🥊🥊

Ralph’s been part of the Teddy’s community for the past 2 years — showing up, putting in the work, and keeping things simple.

“I wasn’t sure how good I was supposed to be when I started. Taking a few private lessons helped a lot — I felt comfortable right away and kept coming back.”

Like a lot of people, Ralph came in with a straightforward goal:
get his cardio back so he could literally run for the bus without being out of breath.

“Now that’s improved — and as a bonus, my lower back isn’t sore all the time from the movement and stretching in boxing.”

Favourite classes?
“Anything boxing — especially Bag & Burn. They’re tough but you feel great after.”

And if you’re on the fence about trying your first class:

“Don’t be nervous. Just enjoy it. Everyone — trainers and members — are there to help.”

One thing that stands out to him about Teddy’s:
“If you’re limited in certain movements, the coaches will always modify things so you still get a great workout.”

If you’ve been thinking about getting started, this is your sign.

Next up, Melanie 👇 .talson

Melanie is a Peninsula local, born and raised, and has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. She became a registered yoga teacher in 2015 and has been a steady, trusted presence in the local yoga community ever since.

Over the past year, she’s also been part of the Teddy’s community—training regularly in the gym—and now brings that same grounded, supportive energy into her classes.

Her approach blends strength, flow, and control, creating a practice that’s both accessible and challenging in the best way.

Summer schedule is being rolled out over the new month and a few of our coaches take their summer break! We have added some new classes, paused a few classes till fall and consolidated!
