The days of baby powder in the wax room are over!
Does anyone else remember when baby powder seemed like to be flying everywhere during a wax service? I sure do.
Today, we use pre-wax oil to prepare the skin before waxing. A pre-wax oil helps create a protective barrier between the wax and the skin while also hydrating the hair. This can help reduce irritation and minimize hair breakage, allowing for a cleaner wax.
Think of it like applying conditioner to your hair and then rinsing it out. Even though it’s removed, your hair still benefits from the conditioning effect. We apply the oil, prep the skin, and then wipe away any excess before waxing.
Modern waxing is all about protecting the skin while achieving the best results possible!
