Simcoe Curling Club

Join us on October 31st from 1pm to 5pm for the opportunity to get on the ice and throw some rocks.

No equipment needed, all we ask is a clean pair of indoor shoes are worn at ice level and head protection for partipants 17 and under.

The Simcoe Curling Club will provide equipment and instructors to help participants on and off the ice learn the basics of the game.

This is the perfect opportunity for people that have always wanted to try the sport at no cost.

All are welcome, on ice instruction is open to ages 7 and up.

There will be opportunities for registration in our youth program, adult learn to curl, and some leagues.

Coming soon – a new podcast that targets coaches and U25, U20, U18, and U15 athletes: The Throwing Rocks Podcast.

We’ll include topics such as coaching, youth athlete development, high performance for U25 athletes and teams, equipment, and the science of curling. The pod will include segments on news, interviews, technical content, and listener questions, and will be available wherever you get your podcasts.

Looking to try a new sport? Tired of hearing your friends talk about curling and want to join them? Adult Learn To Curl sessions take place Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30am in November and December. Bring a clean pair of running shoes, dress warmly and everything else you need is provided.
This course is meant for people who have never curled before or for those who have taken a hiatus of several decades and want a refresher.

It's National Coaches Week and a great time to thank the many members of our club who have given of their time to help coach and instruct in any capacity over the past year!

We are always in need of new coaches/instructors. No formal training is necessary, though it is encouraged. Lesson plans and guidance will be provided.

U12 Sundays 1-2pm
U15 & U21 Sundays 2-4pm
Adult Learn to Curl Sundays 9:30-11:30am (November-December)
Adult 5U League Sundays 9:30-11:30am (January-March)
High School teams Thursdays 3-5pm (Dec-Feb)
Elementary School and High School classes - periodically through the season
