We strive for excellence.

Our Mission

EMSA Spruce Grove (also known as Spruce Grove Soccer Association or SGSA) will try to provide a soccer program allowing each participant to play at his/her appropriate level for every age, skill level, and competition level available. SGSA will provide players and coaches with the appropriate tools, guidance and support necessary to develop technical and personal skills to their full potential. SGSA will foster and nourish the growth and enjoyment of the game of soccer year-round, emphasizing to our players, coaches, managers, referees, parents and spectators both the attitude and conduct of sportsmanship through training and team work. SGSA will promote these disciplines, thereby developing respect for teammates, coaches, opponents, game officials, and the community. Our goal is to be one of the top soccer programs within Alberta. We will achieve this through the care and dedication of our coaches, volunteers, parents and players.

🧡 Every Child Matters 🧡

September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On this day, we honour the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

SGSA acknowledges that we live, play, and gather in Spruce Grove, located on Treaty 6 territory and the traditional lands of Paul First Nation, Enoch Cree Nation, Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, Michel First Nation, Alexander First Nation, and our local Métis community.

We invite our Saints community to wear orange, take time to learn and reflect, and continue listening and learning as we work together toward truth and reconciliation.

We remember. We honour. We learn.

This Friday September 11th we’re getting together at Muir Lake Hall in Stony Plain for a night to support Justin, Amanda and their three kids. A lot of you know Justin from soccer, he’s coached and mentored so many kids in our community, and now he’s the one who needs us. He was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and the Davey family is dealing with a lot right now, appointments, treatment, and everything that comes with it financially and emotionally.

So we’re throwing a party for them. There’ll be music, dancing, food, drinks and a silent auction with some really great prizes to bid on. Every dollar from tickets, drinks and the auction goes directly to Justin and his family.

It’s happening 6-11pm, tickets are on Showpass (link below). Bring your friends, bring your dancing shoes, and let’s pack that hall. Justin’s spent years showing up for this community, now it’s our turn to show up for him.
