HRM Tryouts Announced ⚾️

📍 East Coast Varsity Dome (Dartmouth) — May 4 | 6:30 PM

Chris returns for his 4th season as Head Coach of the 17U Selects ⚾️

With 15 years of coaching experience in Nova Scotia—including a long run with Halifax 22U—and 8 years playing in the Nova Scotia Senior League, “Munny” brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the game.

He’s fired up to get to work with the 2026 group and is hungry for a strong showing in Summerside this August 🔥

We’re excited to announce Lane George as an assistant coach for the 2026 Nova Scotia Selects 17U team.

Lane is a three-time provincial champion (13U, 15U, 22U) and was recognized as a top catcher in Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada, as well as at the Ray Carter Cup 15U Nationals. He represented Team Nova Scotia for five years, including the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Lane went on to play in a collegiate summer league in Palm Springs before attending the College of the Desert, studying kinesiology. He most recently helped the OLR Renegades 22U team capture a provincial title and a fourth-place finish at nationals.

We’re excited to welcome Evan O’Toole to the coaching staff for the 2026 Nova Scotia Selects 17U team!

A Bridgewater, Nova Scotia native, Evan brings a high-level playing background, including time with the Provincial Team, the Canadian Junior National Team, and experience competing at top collegiate programs like Iowa Western, Oklahoma State, and the University of Central Missouri. Along the way, he’s earned multiple accolades, including Conference Player of the Year, NJCAA All-American honors, and All-MIAA recognition.

Evan’s experience, leadership, and knowledge of the game make him a great addition to our staff, and we’re excited to have him helping lead this group.

Another season has come to an end. The finished the week with a 3-3 record and lots to be proud of. While it was not the outcome we had hoped for, the boys represented our province with great pride.

Thank you to our fans, parents and sponsors for their support all year long. To our graduating players, thank you for wearing your heart on your sleeve and representing our province so well on the national stage.

It all starts today !

Bright and very early this morning — 5:30 am to be exact — our 17U Nova Scotia Selects arrived at the airport, gear in hand and smiles on their faces, ready to head to St. John’s, Newfoundland for the 2025 Canada Games!

The early wake-up didn’t slow them down one bit — the energy, the excitement, and the team spirit were all in the air (literally!).

Next stop: making Nova Scotia proud on the national stage.
Let’s go, boys — time to bring the heat to NL!

Tôt — très tôt — ce matin, à 5h30, nos Selects 17U de la Nouvelle-Écosse sont arrivés à l’aéroport, équipement en main et sourire aux lèvres, prêts à s’envoler vers St. John’s, à Terre-Neuve pour les Jeux du Canada 2025!

Le réveil matinal ne les a pas ralentis — l’énergie, l’excitation et l’esprit d’équipe étaient bien présents (et maintenant, dans les airs!).

Prochaine étape : représenter fièrement la Nouvelle-Écosse sur la scène nationale.
