That’s a wrap for Provincials! Our Caps represented themselves with great team camaraderie and worked together with a ‘never give up attitude’ in every game they played. They played hard and earned a spot in Tier 1 surrounded by A and B teams. With an admirable 4th place finish overall out of 8 teams, these talented young athletes should be so proud. So many memories and loads of fun. Thanks to U15 Provincials CBR - 2026 for putting off such a well organized and fun tournament!

Blades get out to an early lead in this one with 4 goals in the first period. Second period was almost scoreless but with just 2.8 seconds left Caps get on the board and get the momentum starting to swing our way. Caps add two more quick ones in the first few minutes of the third to come within one goal. Caps keep the pressure on and worked hard but could not sink the equalizer.

𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥, 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐬 🔴⚫️

Saint-Pierre et Miquelon got on the board first with three in the first period and another in the first half of the second. But this Caps team keeps fighting. Caps get on the board at 4:38 into the second. Caps score another at 6:27 into the third to come within two. At the end of the period SPM had two in the box and Caps pulled their goalie. Caps kept the pressure on but couldn’t get another goal.

Caps are headed to the Bronze Medal game at 3pm at Robert French Memorial Stadium for a re-match with the Mount Pearl Blades.

The Caps had a great time at the banquet last night, complete with getting “Creased In”! Purity syrup, bologna and of course kissing the cod, by the famous Skipper Dickie, aka J-Lac from KROCK.

If you want an exciting hockey game, these two teams will deliver! Celtics opened the scoring for the only goal in the first period. Caps answer back with two goals in the second to take the lead, but the Celtics tie it up with 4:56 left in the period. Third period doesn’t settle it so on to a 5 minute 4-on-4 OT frame, which was also scoreless.

On to a shootout. Celtics are up first and score. Aylward is first for the Caps who finds the back of the net. Next Celtics shooter is stopped by Horner. McGrath is up next for the Caps and scores. Horner shuts down the final Celtics shooter. Caps win!!

Avalon Celtics U15C We are the Avalon Celtics U15C team, competing in the Sportscraft Don Johnson Hockey League (DJHL) for the 2025 - 2026 season.

What great match-up between these two teams! Caps get on the board first, but the Blades come back with 4 goals to jump out to a healthy early lead. With just 1:14 left in the first frame, White scores on a penalty shot for the Caps to come within two. In the second and third periods, Caps net 5 goals, including a short-handed empty netter, to secure the win.
