Milos Kerkez: Happy with the win - but now we have to be ready every three days - Liverpool FC 09/06/2026

A nice start to the weekend, with a clean 2-0 finish against Ipswich!

Iraola made some major starting changes, with Araujo and Macca getting thrusted into action. Those changes seem to have paid off, with a much more solid backline and more fluidity in our midfield.

Gakpo and Isak, take a bow ... these were two highlighted as needing big seasons for the Reds. Hopefully this is the start of their form. It was also nice to see Barcola get a couple minutes as well.

What were your thoughts on the game? Who was your MOTM?

Milos Kerkez: Happy with the win - but now we have to be ready every three days - Liverpool FC Milos Kerkez highlighted the importance of Liverpool taking forward momentum from Friday night's victory over Ipswich Town.

'That's why I'm disappointed…' - Florian Wirtz's reaction to draw with Forest - Liverpool FC 08/30/2026

Another 2-2 draw, as we start the season on a two game unbeaten run. The Reds would look back on this game with rued chances along with a few dubious ref calls (VAR goal call back and Alisson penalty).

Nice to see both Isak and Munoz get on the score sheet, hopefully this is the start of form for the pair of them (We'll need it going forward).

It was nice to see a bit more pace and attitude in the second half, with a few choice aggressive yellows to set the tone further of how we wanted to play. More of this please.

Who was your MOTM? How are we feeling two games into the season so far?

'That's why I'm disappointed…' - Florian Wirtz's reaction to draw with Forest - Liverpool FC Florian Wirtz was ultimately left frustrated at Liverpool failing to pick up three points against Nottingham Forest, despite the encouraging responses to falling behind.

Szobo with the pen at the death to grasp a late point at St. James, in a 2-2 tie.

Some old habits came up again in fast break counters leading to goals and going down. As the subs came on in the second half, we did seem to find a bit more rhythm and fluidity with our passing.

The new signings of last year, especially Wirtz and Isak, we need to see more in the coming games. Earn your spot in the squad and show us why you were worth the price tag.

Who was your MOTM? Will we kick on strongly now to the 2026 - 2027 season?

Szobo's late penalty secures a point at St James' Park 🤝

'Thank you' - Virgil van Dijk pays tribute to Arne Slot - Liverpool FC 05/31/2026

As we woke up Saturday morning (Yesterday), we were met with the news that Arne Slot had been released from the final year of his contract with Liverpool FC.

Like any manager, Slot had his critics, but it's important to remember that he guided Liverpool to our 20th league title. He also helped lead the club through one of the most difficult periods in its recent history following the tragic death of Diogo Jota.

Unfortunately, as the season progressed, things appeared to unravel. Results became inconsistent, and it seemed that the players, coaching staff, and club leadership were no longer fully aligned.

Our hope should be that Liverpool does not become a club that constantly cycles through managers. One of the hallmarks of our greatest eras has been stability, vision, and patience. Whoever comes in next, we should hope they are given the opportunity to build something lasting ... and of course, bring more trophies to Anfield.

At the moment, Iraola appears to be the favourite, but Liverpool has often moved quietly and surprised us when it comes to managerial appointments. We may not have to wait long to find out. With a full pre-season ahead, there is an opportunity for a fresh start, renewed energy, and a clear vision for the future.

What do you think ultimately led to Slot's departure?

And if you could choose Liverpool's next manager, who would be your first choice and why?

Inside Anfield: Salah & Robertson's emotional farewell | Liverpool 1-1 Brentford 05/27/2026

And the season ends with an anti-climatic draw, 1-1 to Brentford.

We wanted to spend a moment to thank all you loyal Reds for growing with the group this year. There was a couple highs but a lot of lows … testing the mental fortitude.

We can hopefully only go up from here, as we take a much needed break to reset over the off-season. Questions back to you … what do you want to see this off-season? What transfers? What strategy change? Leave your thoughts in the comments below to kick start the conversation.

For now, we say farewell to Mo and Robbo … until next time my friends. Legends.

Inside Anfield: Salah & Robertson's emotional farewell | Liverpool 1-1 Brentford Go behind the scenes at Anfield for the final fixture of the 2025/2...

05/23/2026

A long, challenging, at times exhausting, season draws to a close this weekend with one final home tie against Brentford. (12:30 NT kickoff)

With Champions League football all but secured, tomorrow's fixture will be all about bidding farewell to two modern day club legends that we will be telling our grandchildren about.

Our Egyptian king Mo Salah, as well as our indomitable Scottish left back Andy Robertson are set to don the Reds colors for one final time at Anfield tomorrow. Sending them off in style with three points would be most fitting!

As for our crew, it's been wonderful watching the numbers increase as we march towards OLSC status! I've enjoyed my time getting to know you all and grumbling about Arne Slot together. LOL

Let's rally the troops one more time before we enter World Cup mode! We can lock down the back tables of the Duke while the rest can watch West Ham up by the bar.

'Once-in-a-lifetime players' - Virgil van Dijk's appraisal of Mo Salah and Andy Robertson - Liverpool FC 05/20/2026

This season has not gone according to plan unfortunately…

With yesterday’s results, we’re almost fully guaranteed Champions League football (Outside of truly disastrous results for us … though Gerrard & Stoke City are a fairly recent memory).

What do we need to do this off-season to get ourselves back on track? Do we have the right mix of players and coaches? Do we just need a prolonged break to reset?

What are your thoughts?

'Once-in-a-lifetime players' - Virgil van Dijk's appraisal of Mo Salah and Andy Robertson - Liverpool FC Virgil van Dijk believes the greatest testament to Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson's impact at Liverpool is the legacy they will leave for others to follow.

A 3-2 defeat in the M6 derby to rivals Manchester United.

A valiant effort all the same in the second half, with Dominik Szoboszlai taking the team on his shoulders to tie it up at 2-2.

From there, you knew the game had another goal to it. Unfortunately, the true reds being on the wrong side of it.

Some solid performances still to be proud, looking at you Río and Jones 👀.

Some big matches still to come with Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Brentford. Where will we finish on the league table?

Full-time.
