Week 4 — Cape Holes & Diagonal Hazards
A Cape hole challenges players with a diagonal hazard, often water or a bunker, that players can carry at varying distances. The more aggressive the line, the shorter the next shot becomes. The less risk you take, the longer the approach awaits. This design rewards precision and decision-making, asking golfers to match their ambition with their ability.

Week 3 — Biarritz Green Design
A Biarritz green is long and split by a deep swale. The front portion is designed for running shots, while the back plateau holds traditional flag locations. This template originated in France. When the hole is cut on the back section, players must carry the swale; when on the front, a low-running shot is the smarter choice

Week 2 — The Redan Hole Concept
The Redan is one of the most famous template designs in golf. Originating at North Berwick in Scotland, it features a green that angles away from the player, a deep front bunker, and a preferred approach from the high, open side. Golfers are encouraged to use the ground—landing short and allowing the ball to feed in.

And it begins! We’re so happy to welcome back golfers for another great season, as our first group teed off on Captain’s Hill at 7am this morning. The sun is shining and we are so happy to get the golf season underway.
