⛳🎉 A huge congratulations to 9-year-old Aidan O’Brien on an incredible Hole in One at the challenging 7th hole on Captain’s Hill on July 11!

This was Aidan’s very first ace, making the moment even more special. Playing alongside his dad and another couple, there was plenty of excitement as everyone celebrated this amazing achievement.

A hole in one is something golfers of all ages dream about, and Aidan can now proudly say he’s done it!

⛳ Golf Architecture & Design 2026

Week 10 — Fairway Width Strategy
Fairway width is not simply about forgiveness. Wider fairways give players multiple angles of attack. A left-side drive might open one pin location; a right-side drive may suit another. Architects use width to create choices, not shortcuts. Narrow fairways remove strategy; wide ones increase it, especially on windy sites or around challenging greens.
