The St. John's Legends Swim Club is based in St. John's NL and was founded in 1978 following the cons John’s Paul Reynolds Community Center.

John's Legends Swim Club, originally NAAC, the Newfoundland Aquarena Aquatic Club, was founded in 1978 following the construction of the Aquarena and the city's hosting of the 1977 Canada Summer Games. The club developed quickly under the direction of its first head coach Tom Arusso and within two seasons Paula Kelly had been named to Canada's 1980 Olympic team. Over the years the club has continu

It is day three of the 2026 Swimming NL Provincial Championships. Our Legends have had a strong showing all weekend and will again as we go to finals tonight. With over 100 appearances in finals again the swimmers are bringing the heat, including more provincial records from Gillian Smith and James Traverse! (Unofficial until certified by Swim NL)

Welcome back for day 2 of the 2026 Swimming Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Championships at the Aquarena in St. John's. Our Legends have earned over 90 appearances in finals this evening, not counting relays!
