DF Barnes Arena has several ice slots available this week, with options throughout the day and evening.

It's game time for the Avalon Celtics Gear Swap. Here's how you can be part of it.

From Monday Sept 14 through Friday Sept 18, drop off any gently used hockey gear your kids have outgrown at DF Barnes. Skates, pads, helmets, whatever's sitting around, it can help another family get their kid on the ice.

Then on Saturday Sept 19, from 9am to 1pm, come by for the swap itself. Pick up what you need or just stop in to see what's available. The only ask is a donation to the food bank, so bring something along if you're able.

Cost shouldn't be the reason a kid doesn't get to play. Let's fill that room with gear and get more families out on the ice this season.

Quick reminder: registration for the 2026/2027 AMHA season is open now. If you haven't signed up yet, now's the time. It helps us plan our programming and it locks in your spot.
