Celebrating 10 Years of BSG Vikings Baseball! ⚾️ The last 10 years have flown by faster than a fastball. Look at these two photos: Picture #1 is from our very first year. Back then, we didn’t even have a league name, uniforms, or hats. It was just a handful of dedicated parents coming together so our kids could play the game they love. Now look at Picture #2—our U9 team today, smiling after grinding through four tough games.
Fast-forward through a decade of countless games, endless innings, and numerous tournaments. We have evolved into a league that players, coaches, and families are incredibly proud of. We chose the name "BSG" because we wanted a truly inclusive community. We wanted everyone in the Bay St. George area to feel welcome, spanning all the way from Cape St. George to Robinson's. We chose "VIKINGS" to honor the fierce, competitive baseball players who have always come out of the Port au Port area. The stories and memories we've built along the way are absolutely countless. A massive thank you goes out to all of our coaches—both past and present—for your incredible dedication over the last 10 years. To the volunteers, board members, and parents who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly off the field: thank you! We couldn't do this without you.
