fe and stress-free environment. We often joke about it but the best way to describe the Newman Youth Camp experience is through our motto .... fun, friends, and freezies! Although we play games, it's never about winning or losing at our camp. Our camp philosophy is centred on the achievement of 3 basic goals .... physical, social and emotional growth. We believe that providing campers with the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities facilitates the development of fundamental movement skills and a healthy respect for active living. We promote team building at camp to ensure that campers of all ages have the opportunity to make new friends and play with campers of varying levels of ability. Our camp is firmly committed to the principle of respect for 'self’ and ‘others’. The golden rule at our camp is .... treat others as you wish to be treated. For us, the top priority is providing each and every camper with an enjoyable experience. The true measure of success is in seeing every camper leave with a smile on their face. We have experienced remarkable success over the years and our high retention rate is proof that our formula is working. We look to build upon this success as we movie forward into yet another summer of camping. When you register your child with Newman Youth Sports Camp, you can count on your child being in safe hands. Campers are under the watchful supervision of Ontario certified teachers, at both the elementary and secondary school levels. Our staff is comprised of the best and brightest students of Cardinal Newman C.S.S. and surrounding high schools. Our camper-to-counsellor ratio (4:1) is the best you'll find at a camp. We are confident that you will be impressed with the quality of supervision your children receive at our camp. We are also blessed to run our camp out of Cardinal Newman C.S.S., a state-of-the-art facility which provides campers with the best of the indoor and outdoor camp experience. Campers will have access to a fantastic gymnasium that is climate-controlled and the best outdoor playing surface in the entire city. Access to this great facilitiy and all that it has to offer enables us to adapt our activities to meet the needs of all our campers, regardless of age.
