New for the 2026–27 season, we’re introducing the Highway 7 Regular Season Champions’ Series between the Stratford Hunter Steel Warriors and the St. Marys Lincolns!

Four games. Two rivals. One Highway 7 Champion.

After the four-game season series, the team with the most wins will be crowned the Highway 7 Regular Season Champion! 🏆

If the series finishes tied 2–2, the championship will be decided by goals for and against across the four games.

The Battle of Highway 7 has always meant a little more. Now there’s something on the line.

The Stratford Warriors GOJHL announced their captains on Tuesday night for the 2026-2027 Greater Ontario Hockey League season!

The Warriors begin the regular season with two games on the road. The home opener is Friday September 18th against the Chatham Maroons.

WELCOME TO STRATFORD, CARTER!

The Warriors have acquired defenceman Carter Brownlee from the Espanola Paper Kings of the NOJHL!

Despite being just a 2009-born defenceman, Brownlee already brings a full season of Junior A experience to Stratford. Last year with Espanola, he recorded 11 points in 39 games, gaining valuable experience playing at the junior level.

Now, the Sudbury native makes the move south to Stratford and adds another young, experienced piece to the Warriors blue line for 2026–27.

Following his attendance at Erie Otters Training Camp, goaltender Gage Hurst has re-signed with the Stratford Warriors!

A 5th-round pick (94th overall) of the Erie Otters in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, Hurst established himself as a crucial piece in the Warriors crease last season, putting together an outstanding 12-1-3 record.

After another opportunity to showcase himself at the OHL level, Gage is back in Stratford and ready to build on a tremendous season between the pipes.
