If you've ever been to a racetrack, you'll likely have seen these horses with job: racetrack outrider horses.

Job Description: Racetrack outriders and their horses provide the valuable service of helping to maintain a safe environment during workouts and live racing.

“I have been outriding at Century Downs Racetrack [in Calgary] since it first opened in April 2015,” says Janice Lea of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. “However, I started doing back-up outriding at Stampede Park in 1994.”

🍂🦃 Thanksgiving Supper in the Canadian Rocky Mountains 🦃🍂

Join us October 10th & 11th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for a good old-fashioned, home-cooked Thanksgiving supper surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

🦃 Turkey
🥔 Mashed potatoes
🥕 All the traditional fixings
🥧 Homemade pumpkin pie to top it all off! $30 per person

Our restaurant is located one hour west of Sundre, making it the perfect excuse to take a beautiful country drive and get out to see the wild horses on the wild side of Banff.

Come enjoy a hearty, homemade meal in an old-fashioned setting, off grid location surrounded by mountain scenery, fresh air, and the beauty of Alberta.
