Real talk: I’ve been having a OFF week ~ I let myself fall into old habits that felt so comfortable but at the same time so uncomfortable. A combination of not working out, working on my computer for hours on end, and stress eating has left me feeling exhausted inside and out.
Not making time for my self care, be it not moving my body or not fuelling myself with the right nutrition, gives me so much anxiety but I’m sharing this because I know it’s normal to get caught up in life and lose that balance. The most important part for me is recognizing when I’ve lost balance and pulling myself the f**k out of it.
Consistency doesn’t mean you don’t have lows - it means you feel those lows and refuse to let them control you. We’re here to persevere and keep pushing 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Been a while, just checking in to say I’ve been working in silence 🙏🏽💫
In all honestly, I was slacking a lil bit but most recently I’ve got back on my grind. As an attempt to re-motivate myself I started a 21 day challenge: 30 minutes of cardio daily 🏃🏽♀️🚴🏾♀️🚶♀️💦 I’m currently on day 4 and have been getting this done on top of weight training. Going for walks outside or on the treadmill, my spin bike, the rowing machine and the stair master have all been apart of how I get in a sweat daily.
You’ll see why I started this challenge in 17 days 👀
Whose in to join the challenge with me ? ⬇️

G R O W T H comes when you trust the what, f**k the when and never forget the why 🍑💪🏽
There’s five years between these photos. Was I always on point, with no bad days, or even months in between? Absolutely not, that’s life but I’m proud to say even when I’ve fallen off track, I’ve never let go of that consistency mind set. Keep going, let go of the timeline and pretend like today’s all you got; do the work, and you might gain more then just your ideal physique.

Life has a funny way of testing us.
I was having a hard time connecting mind to muscle during my arm workout yesterday, which I figured was due to it being the fourth consecutive day I was pushing my body this week plus I always find upper body days 😴💤
I finally got through it and then started my 30 minutes of cardio. I usually split this torture between 15 minutes on the stair mill and 15 minutes on the treadmill BUT when I finished up on the stair mill, all the treadmills were taken by other members so I had two choices, quit at 15 minutes or finish my cardio session on the stair mill.
You best believe I tested myself and finished those 30 minutes 😅💦 The easier option would have been to quit but then I wouldn’t have proved to myself I can go beyond the limits I restrict myself to. Taking the easy way out isn’t going to do anything but keep you comfortable. I don’t know about you but I’d rather grow then stay the same 🙌🏽📈
What’s your go to cardio equipment? 🏃🏽♀️🚴🏾♀️

In the era of BBL's and perfect hourglass figures everywhere we look on social media, it's easy to be shamed of our natural, not so perfect bodies.
I know I've gone down that rabbit hole, BUT I'm here to tell you hip dips and nonexistent thigh gaps are completely normal even if they aren't trending. Hip dips are literally caused by the shape of your pelvis and sorry to break it to you sis, while you can enhance your body shape through exercise and diet, you cannot change your bone structure.
Gorgeous, gorgeous girls embrace their true selves and pay no attention to toxic body shaming culture. Instead we focus our energy on being the most beautiful, authentic version of ourselves UNAPOLOGETICALLY 🍑🤩

Happy holidaze ✨🎄
I hope everyone is taking time to slow down, and find comfort in all the little things. For me, that means celebrating annual traditions, seeing my nieces and nephews smiles as they open gifts on Christmas morning, cooking for my family and finding warmth in wine, and connection 💕
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized presence is the best gift of all. That’s why creating memories is so valuable - they will always stay with you 🎁
However your celebrating ~ make it magically & merry!🎄🎅🏾

If you live in BC you know the reason behind the unimpressed look on my face 😒😑
Gyms are being forced to close yet again. After one of the hardest years, myself and many others rely on our routines for a sense of normalcy. I’ve said it before and I’ll continue preaching it - the impact taking care of my physical health has on my mental health is unmatchable 💯
This is why we need the gym:
-Helps depression and anxiety
-Increases energy
-Sharpens memory and concentration
-Aids in better sleep
-Increases self esteem
-Decreases stress levels
I hope everyone makes the most of today and gets in their last gym workout. I’ll be getting in a back day followed by some quality time with the stair mill💪🏽
Praying this closure is temporary and not extended🤞🏽For now it’s time to bring back the resistance bands and home workouts

As the seasons transition and the sky becomes more grey than blue, have you ever noticed increased pain, fatigue, muscle/bone aches, and mood changes? ⚡️⛈
If you have, chances are you’re like me and are feeling all the classic symptoms of the lack of vitamin D ☀️
You can get vitamin D through natural exposure to the sun, and through food + nutritional supplements. I personally take a daily D3 vitamin along with absorption through food and increase my dosage in the fall.
Check in with your doctor to find out the right amount of vitamin D for you as it can be dependent on your age, where you live and your skin color ☀️🌤

A few weeks ago, I shared how anytime my routine is thrown off I start to experience anxiety. Well little did I know how much life would be bringing my way this past month:
-My bestie visiting
-My grandma having a stroke
-Celebrating my husband’s grandma’s 90th birthday
-Meeting and hosting what felt like 100 family members who were in town for the above ^
-Celebrating my sister in law’s baby shower
Learning to roll with the uncertainty has never come easy for me but damn this month really forced me to. My point in sharing this is that life happens, things you cannot control will test you and it’s important to realize there will always be disrupters to our routines whether they are planned or unplanned.
Sometimes you really just gotta let go and accept things aren’t always going to be in your comfort zone. This month forced me to adapt and experience things and moments fully and I’m truly grateful for that 💕
Now time to jump right back into it 💪🏽
