If you’ve ever caught yourself yawning in the middle of a Pilates class, you’re not alone — and no, it doesn’t always mean you’re bored or tired.
Sometimes yawning can happen because your body is working to regulate its temperature, adjust to deeper breathing, or shift into a nervous system reset as you move with more awareness and control.
Pilates asks us to connect breath, core, and movement — and as the body settles into that rhythm, yawning can simply be one way your system responds.
So if a little yawn shows up during practice, don’t worry. Take it as a reminder to breathe, soften, and keep listening to your body.
Your body is always communicating with you. ✨

Meet Conan & Charlie, our beloved Monica's little cuties!
Pose Spotlight: Seated Wide-Leg Forward Fold 🌿Also known as Upavistha Konasana, this grounding posture invites the body to soften, lengthen, and create space through the lower body.
It gently stretches the inner thighs, hamstrings, hips, and lower back while encouraging a sense of calm and release.
In Meridian Flow Yoga, this pose is often connected with the Liver, Kidney, and Spleen meridian pathways — supporting smoother energy flow, grounding, emotional balance, and deeper ease in the body.

Happy International Cow Appreciation Day 🌿
Today’s spotlight: Cat-Cow Exercise
This gentle movement helps you connect breath, spine, and deep core awareness. As you round through the back, gently draw the belly in. As you lengthen, keep the movement slow and supported.
Simple? Yes.
Effective? Also yes.

🌿A quick and kind reminder from the studio:
To support a calm class environment and help everyone practice safely, we’re unable to allow late entry once class has begun.
The first few minutes of class are not just “extra time” — they help your body warm up, settle your breath, and prepare for the practice ahead. Missing the warm-up can increase the chance of discomfort or injury, especially in more active classes.
We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early, especially for evening classes when traffic and parking can be less predictable.
Thank you for understanding and helping us care for the whole room.
