2026 Western Canada Prospects Series Day 2 Recap: Round Robin Continues in St. Albert Day 2 of the 2026 Western Canada Prospects Series featured a full slate of 14U and 16U action in St. Albert, with teams battling for position ahead of Saturday’s final round-robin games and semifinal matchups.

Day 1 of is complete.

BC takes the lone game of the day, 10-6 over Alberta in 14U action, while weather forced changes to the 16U schedule.

Today, we celebrate Canadian baseball legend and longtime Baseball Canada supporter Buck Martinez 🇨🇦⚾️

From behind the plate to the dugout and, of course, the broadcast booth, Buck has left an undeniable mark on baseball in Canada and has always been a passionate supporter of growing our game from coast to coast.

Today, his incredible legacy gets another well-deserved honour as he becomes the first inductee into the Toronto Blue Jays’ new Hall of Excellence.

Congratulations, Buck! 🍁👏

Every expert was once a beginner. ⚾️💙

For some of our players, fall ball is the very first step into a new division - and that can come with a LOT of new.

New rules. New positions. New teammates. A faster pace. Bigger expectations. And sometimes… some pretty big feelings. 🥹

It’s okay if it feels a little uncomfortable at first. It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s okay to need time to find your footing.

Because that’s what this part of the journey is all about. 🌱

Fall ball is a chance to learn, try, stumble, adjust, laugh, and grow - all while surrounded by coaches, teammates and families cheering them on.

So to every player stepping up this fall: be brave enough to be the beginner. Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep swinging.

You don’t have to have it all figured out yet.
You just have to take the next step. 💙⚾️

And someday, you’ll look back and realize this was where it all started.
