Jong Kim Taekwondo

When students join, I partner up each student with a friend. When taekwondo kids build friendships, they feel like they belong! It is crucial factor in kids to develop self worth and value. It's a time honored tradition at our Surrey taekwondo family.

I've seen students who are still friends decades later when I'm invited to their homes years later. It Comforts me good people make friends with other good people . This is True community feel that's worth millions in my opinion. 👊♥️

These two are most important men in my life! My elder brother Richard (far left) and my dad (center). They are the most selfless and loving men I know. My brother goes out of his way to help all who come into his presence. I once heard from one of his taekwondo students he bought her a mountain bike to come to taekwondo because her old bike got stolen. She comes from a troubled home and of minimal financial means. My brother did this quietly and never let's others know of these caring deeds. I never once heard him brag or otherwise; I hear of these countless stories from the ones, whom lives have been touched by his caring nature. He is the type of person who will give his last $10 to give you money for food if you are hungry. My father is the same of course.

I thank God for giving me great mentors in life. These are the true riches I wish my own taekwondo students garner from my humble teachings! This is long over due. This is True Taekwondo!! 👊🙏Building character which demonstrates human compassion in Surrey community. I am truly thankful to my brother! One whom I deeply respect!

My greatest gift are my wonderful taekwondo students who are filled with true LOVE ; kindness filled kids who treat others with a warmth words cannot express. In this I am the luckiest instructor in the world! For real!!

I wish sincerely we live in such a way that is pleasing to Him.

I am truly thankful to my parents who instilled this value into my heart so we can all shine the light within us all. Christmas ,to me, isn't a one time event; but is an year around celebration of life. Enjoy the precious moments with loved ones.
