Despite the pouring rain, you showed up with smiles, energy, and unwavering support for our young athletes. Watching our players battle for prizes, cheer on their teammates, and embrace every moment of the Bat-A-Thon was truly inspiring. The rain may have soaked us, but it certainly didn't dampen our spirits!

Today was a beautiful reminder that baseball is more than just a game. It's about community, friendship, perseverance, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

To every volunteer who worked behind the scenes, every parent who stood in the rain, every coach and junior coach who encouraged our athletes, and every manager who helped make the day run smoothly—today could not have happened without you.

💔 In Loving Memory of Alex Norman Lowe-Heistad 💔

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of an incredible member of our community, Alex Norman Lowe-Heistad.

On April 26, 2026, just shy of his 41st birthday, Alex suddenly passed away, leaving behind his loving wife, three beautiful children, countless friends, and a community that simply doesn't know how to imagine life without him.

Alex was many things to many people. He was a devoted husband and father, a passionate teacher, a dedicated Scout leader, a baseball coach, a mentor, and a friend. He gave so much of himself to others, always willing to lend a hand, share his wisdom, and brighten someone's day with his kindness and generosity.

His sudden passing has left a void that can never truly be filled. The heartbreak being felt by his family, friends, students, players, and community is immeasurable. Alex touched countless lives, and his impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

As his family navigates this unimaginable loss, they are also facing unexpected financial challenges. Unfortunately, there was no life insurance in place. In response, our community has come together to support the family through a GoFundMe campaign.

The funds raised will help cover daily necessities, living expenses, and provide stability as they begin the difficult journey of rebuilding their lives without Alex.

Every year, the Bat-A-Thon is more than just a fundraiser—it is a celebration of our players, our families, and our amazing Whalley Little League community. There is something truly magical about seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter, and watching players of every age share their love for the game we all cherish. ❤️⚾

🍔 Families are welcome to arrive before the listed arrival time so your athlete can enjoy their complimentary food provided by the league.
Kona Ice of Chilliwack will be at the Ballpark until 12:30PM.

🎯 We'll also have extra fun activities throughout the day, making this an event the entire family can enjoy!

From our youngest Blastball players to our Junior athletes, there is nothing quite like watching every age group step into the batter's box and give it their all.

For years, you've shown up with your camera and your heart, capturing moments that become treasured memories for our families. You never ask for recognition. You never ask for anything in return. You simply show up because you care.

This season, however, you stepped up in a way that only a few people truly know.

Game after game, you were there for the Minor Reds. Not because anyone asked you to be. Not because it was your responsibility. But because your heart told you it was the right thing to do.

You became a source of encouragement for the players, a support system for the coaching staff, and a familiar smile that reminded everyone they weren't alone.

While many people see the photos you share, what they don't always see is the love, dedication, and countless hours behind them.

You capture more than pictures.

You capture first hits.
You capture championship smiles.
You capture friendships.
You capture pride.
You capture moments that parents and players will cherish for a lifetime.

Because of you, memories never fade.

And rumor has it you're also the mastermind behind the legendary 🐐 G.O.A.T. Award — another example of your passion for celebrating the people who make our league special.

Jessie, your kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to our Whalley family do not go unnoticed.

This is your chance to lead, inspire, develop young athletes, and create unforgettable summer baseball memories! 🧢⚾🏆

We are looking for passionate coaches ready to step up for:

🔹 7/8 Selects (Tier 2 – Non-Sanctioned)
⚾ Ages 7–8
🏟 Includes exciting tournaments like:
• Henri Lorieau Tournament
• Highlands Summer Series
• Terry Street Rookie Memorial “Rally in the Valley”

🔹 9/10 Selects (Tier 2 – Non-Sanctioned)
⚾ Open to players not selected for sanctioned/select teams
🏟 District Tournament play in early July

🔹 11/12 Selects (Tier 2 – Non-Sanctioned)
⚾ Open to Majors & Minors players

🏆 District Tournament qualifier for Provincials
