We’re just over a week away from hitting the ice for the 2026 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship and we’re so excited! There will be some streaming available on Curling Canada’s YouTube page, but you can always find live score updates on their website. Come down to to watch if you’re in the area - we’d love to hear you cheering loud!

363 days ago, Courtney sprinted up the stairs to our home office to tell Daniel the news: mixed doubles nationals were going to be at the Cloverdale Curling Club. Our hometown. Our home club.

“We have to at least try,” were Courtney’s exact words.

So we did. We travelled out east twice. Did every BC event. Qualified in 6/7 events with only 5 preliminary losses this season. Courtney used up an incredible amount of her vacation time. Daniel used up an incredible amount of sanity coaching Courtney’s technical. And it was enough.

Courtney is excited to hit up her very first national. Daniel is thrilled to be back on the big stage for the first time in a decade. But just because we made it doesn’t mean the work is over. Let’s see how far we can take this thing.

We’re super thankful for all the teams and fans that showed up to make this first Cloverdale Thanksgiving Classic a success. Huge shoutout to Darren, Alaina, Angie and the entire Cloverdale Curling Club team for hosting. We couldn’t have done it without you.

We’ll be back on the ice together in November for the Parksville Curling Club Double Doubles competitive event. We’ll post updates as we get closer to the day. If you’re really missing your dose of Woo/Wenzek curling before then, we’ll be on the ice for some four-player games in Maple Ridge this weekend.
