They say the Camino begins once you decide to do it... well, that journey has begun. Join me and "like" my new page Walk Within as I document my messy but fun journey through and beyond the weight.

This platform will be raw and unfiltered, showing my truest moments as I train for and then walk the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage this summer.

Through the process, I will also uncover a new version of my healthiest self. I have yet to meet her as an adult and I am excited to unveil her to the world!

Learning to sustain one's attention through mindfulness seems to improve overall ability to focus and maintain attention during everyday tasks. In a 2012 study in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, researchers evaluated individuals with no previous exposure to meditation. Some of them received three hours of mindfulness-meditation training and were asked to meditate for 10 minutes each day for up to 16 weeks.
