We’re wishing all of our dancers, families, teachers and friends a wonderful September and a happy start to the school year.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back into the studio as our 61st season of dance begins the week of September 14th.

Every story has a beginning. And every beautiful story eventually turns the page.

For 61 seasons, Forrester School of Dance has been part of the lives of generations of Cape Breton dancers — a story created by my mother, Dr. Eileen Forrester, and built on an extraordinary love of dance.

For more than 35 years, I had the privilege of teaching alongside my mom. Dance was our passion, our creative language, and such a special part of the life we shared.

Losing her has changed me in ways I never could have imagined. And now, I’m learning how to turn the page.

To honour what she created.
To find my way.
And to write the next chapter.

Because of everything I’ve created and explored over the years, one thing that’s become evident….dance remains my heart and soul. 💕⚔️

And perhaps the most beautiful part of this next chapter is that I don’t have to write it alone.

It will be written by the little ones taking their first steps, the dancers finding their confidence, the adults returning to something they once loved, the friendships made, and the lives shaped along the way.

We aren’t simply building dancers. We’re helping shape the people they will become.

So this September, I invite you to become part of our next generation. Our next chapter. Our next story.

Maybe one of the things your child needs this year is a place to move, make friends, build confidence, and simply feel like they belong. 🤍

And you don’t have to make a big commitment to find out if dance is right for them.

Our 4-week introductory sessions are an easy way to try something new — with nothing special required to get started. No special attire, equipment or dance shoes. Just comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and a willingness to learn, move and have fun. ✨

Four weeks to give it a try. Four weeks to discover something new.

September registration is in full swing. *Limited spaces remain in certain classes. More to be added pending interest.
